November“Mr. Vice President, Mr. Speaker, Members of the Senate, and of the House of Representatives: Yesterday, December 7th, 1941 -- a date which will live in infamy -- the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan.”

That was the beginning of a speech by President Roosevelt on December 8th, 1941. As I write this it is November 9th, 2011. November 11th, 2011, or 11/11/11 will be Veterans Day. It is now nearly 70 years since that attempt by an enemy force to destroy the military power of the United States of America. Buy this book.  Nowhere else will you get this story as it is written of the war that brought America together with its allies, and ultimately defeated the evil that was the Empire of Japan. The island campaigns and the battles that took place are presented not only in historical accuracy, but in detail and men who fought those battles provide that detail.
